Bardstown Discovery Series #7 Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey

Bardstown Bourbon Company has released two new bottlings from their Fusion and Discovery series. Fusion Series #7 and Discovery Series #7 are now available at the distillery and distributed in 20 markets across the country.

The Discovery Series showcases the art of blending hand-selected, supremely aged bourbon. For each release, team members throughout the distillery taste, analyze, and vote on the best recipe. It is a celebration of our collaborative spirit, working together to create something unique and spectacular.

The Discovery Series is meant to showcase the art of blending with an emphasis on old whiskies sourced from a variety of origins. Discovery Series #7, for the first time, incorporates not only aged bourbons and rye, but also features aged Canadian Whiskey sourced from Ontario. This is the first time the series has reached into international territory.

Tasting Notes:

Walnut and brown sugar with bursts of white flowers and tangerine create a delightful aroma leading to baked Honeycrisp apple and dark chocolate on the palate. Our first international Discovery delivers smooth complexity with every sip.

Appearance: Amber.

Nose: Creamed corn, Vanilla Charleston Chew, Ruby red grapefruit, Light oak, Intriguing & inviting.

Palate: Rye spice, aged oak, baking spice, peppercorn spice, cornbread, light leather, balanced mouthfeel, the age of the whiskeys pulls through.

Finish: Bold rye spice, light brown sugar, touch of caramel, light oak, warming heat, pleasant ending.

Age: Blend of 7-, 12-, and 17-Year Whiskeys

Mashbill: 31% 12 Year Kentucky Bourbon: 75% Corn, 13% Rye, 12% Malted Barley / 25% 12 Year Kentucky Bourbon: 78% Corn, 10% Rye, 12% Malted Barley / 21% 12 Year Ontario Whiskey: 100% Corn / 15% 7 Year Indiana Rye: 45% Corn, 51% Rye, 4% Malted Barley / 8% 17 Year Tennessee Whiskey: 84% Corn, 8% Rye, 8% Malted Barley.
