This whisky was announced in November 2018 and is a Limited Edition, combination of whiskies between the ages of 3 and 11 years old. Some of the whisky was first matured in casks and then moved over to be kept in different tanks for up to 16 years to rest. After tasting each tank individually, the brand created four different combinations from the tanks.

This release is meant to celebrate the history of Hitoyoshi, Japan. The label art was created by local artist Junishi Oda.

The whisky is all soft oak and honey with candied fruits. Just a tiny touch of sherry rounds everything out beautifully. The palate is rich and creamy.

Hitoyoshi (and Kuma) are famous for high quality rice shochu produced from the local rice and water. Now
Fukano, and neighboring distillery Ohishi, represents a new chapter for the bucolic, mountainous region.

40.4% ABV / 80.8 Proof

All four limited edition expressions are a combination of whiskies between the ages of 3 and 11 years old. This bottling celebrates the rich history of Hitoyoshi, Japan. The commemorative label nods to the history and myth surrounding the area of the Aoi Aso Shrine founded in 806. The whisky is all soft oak and honey with candied fruits. Just a tiny touch of sherry rounds everything out beautifully. The palate is rich and creamy.

It was designed to honor the local Hitoyoshi area. Hitoyoshi (and Kuma) are famous for high quality rice shochu produced from the local rice and water. Now Fukano, and neighboring distillery Ohishi, represents a new chapter for the bucolic, mountainous region.
