Created by Felipe Camarena, G4 (four generations) is a tequila distilled at El Pandillo Distillery in Jesús María, Jalisco. The agaves are cooked in one of two stone ovens on site for 22 hours and crushed in a handmade metal tahona nicknamed "Felipestein" (Frankestein). It is distilled in copper stills for both distillations. The water used to create the tequila is a 50/50 mix of collected rainwater and spring water. Their reposado is aged for six months in used bourbon barrels.

Refinement in a bottle. Aged for at least six months in very old George Dickel Tennessee whiskey barrels, this Reposado is an expression of the landscape, with flavors influenced by the floral, herbal, and citrus plantings they grow at Rancho El Pandillo.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Cooked agave, oak, black pepper, heat. Hints of peach, and grapefruit.

Taste: Cooked agave, oak, vanilla, and black pepper – though milder than on the nose. Light notes of pepper and licorice.

Finish: Light, but long and smooth with notes of warm spice.

Aged for six months, the “rested” tequila builds on the character of the Blanco, but adds peach and licorice to the aroma, with small hints of grapefruit and lighter pepper in the tasting.
